Dan Burwood has assembled this website and will be documenting the residencies in photographs, maintaining the site, and producing photographic material for an exhibition in Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery in April 2010.

He will also be mapping some of the events that occur during the residencies onto the maps in each Artist page in this website.
This commission, and its approach to documentation, arose from conversations between Dan and the Birmingham City Council Arts Team, following Dan’s application to be a resident artist.
The application to be a resident artist proposed a practice based on building subjective, narrative based maps, using participatory documentary photography, and web-based sattelite mapping technologies such as Google Earth.
Dan will be managing the production of the final exhibition in April 2010, and producing photographic content to populate the show.
